Arts
The picturesque Lake
Superior North Shore community of Grand Marais, Minnesota, offers
an exciting array of arts events, classes and entertainment to
appeal to tourists and residents alike. Whether you're interested
in art, writing, theater, folk crafts, culinary arts, music or
just relaxing near the beauty of Lake Superior and its surrounding
boreal forests, you'll find an eclectic variety of activites to
pique your imagination.
The Arrowhead Center
for the Arts celebrates and promotes the arts, artists, and the
uniquely creative culture of Minnesota's North Shore and Arrowhead
regions. The Arrowhead Center for the Arts is a managed by the
school. The Center serves the community and visitors with theatre,
music, and an eclectic
array of year-round cultural events.

Marais Playhouse: Upcoming Season
Movies
at the ACA
Every first Saturday
morning and every first Monday night of the month, come enjoy
movies on the big screen in full sound. Suggested donation of
$2 per person to cover expenses. Each movie will have an intermission
with concessions.
The first Saturday at
10:30 AM of each month between October and May enjoy a G or PG
rated film. This movie is presented by Cook County Community Education.
The first Monday night
at 7 PM of each month between October and May enjoy a theatrical,
classic or art house movie. This movies is presented by the Grand
Marais Playhouse.
Movie titles will be
posted in the ACA lobby and throughout the school each month.
A suggestion box for movie selection can be found in the ACA Lobby.
Rules for movie attendance:
All school rules apply
No one under 12 without
a chaperone of at least age 12 or older.
All children must be
picked up within 15 minutes of the end of the movie or they will
be prohibited from attending any future movie until a $20 fine
is paid.
Anyone violating school
rules or disrupting behavior will be required to leave the movie,
parents called, disciplined according to school policy, fined
$20 for first offense and prohibited from future movies for second
offense.
