Final Twist

Thriller
Synopsis:
This
classic thriller packs intrigue and humor into an ingenious plot.
An author with writer's block is offered a commission that will
meet his debts before he meets the enforcer. An actor with specific
needs wants a script. It must feature a theatrically convincing,
perfect modus operandi and alibi for the murder of his young wife.
She is to remain in the dark so the play will be a surprise. The
actor's extreme approach to rehearsal worries the writer, but
he is forced to remain silent.

Susan
Cowsill Band
The
singer/songwriter made her initial mark on popular culture at
the tender age of eight with The Cowsills, the 60s family pop
group that scored Top Ten singles The Rain, the Park and Other
Things, Hair, and We Can Fly and served as the real-life
inspiration for TV's fictional
Partridge
Family. During Susan’s decade with roots-pop supergroup The Continental
Drifters, she won the hearts of discerning listeners with her
impassioned vocals and personally-charged songwriting, gracing
three widely-acclaimed albums and a decade’s worth of riveting
performances.
Cowsill's
vocal talents have beautifully supported recordings from artists
as diverse as Dwight Twilley, Redd Kross, The Smithereens, Giant
Sand, Nanci Griffith, Carlene Carter and Jules Shear, while her
compositions have been covered by The Bangles and Hootie and the
Blowfish.
Whether
she's delivering a heart-tugging ballad or belting out a punchy
rock tune, critics agree that Susan Cowsill has an exceptional
talent for connecting with a song's emotional core. Rolling Stone
praised Just Believe It as "The hardy, heartbreaking sound
of…a bar-band angel…in the prime of her singing and songwriting
life." The Washington Post proclaimed "As good as Cowsill’s
voice is, her smart, emotional songwriting is her biggest asset."
All Music Guide raved "Cowsill has stories to tell and she
tells them with a skill and vigor that never lets artifice get
in the way of cutting to the emotional truth… Quite
simply,
debut albums are rarely as moving, as revealing or as accomplished
as Just Believe It. This is masterful music from a major
talent.

Comedy
Synopsis:
The
smash comedy hit of the London and Broadway stages, this much-revived
classic from the playwright of Private Lives offers up fussy,
cantakerous novelist Charles Condomine, re-married but haunted
(literally) by the ghost of his late first wife, the clever and
insistent Elvira who is called up by a visiting "happy medium",
one Madame Arcati. As the (worldly and un-) personalities clash,
Charles' current wife Ruth is accidentally killed, "passes
over", joins Elvira and the two "blithe spirits"
haunt the hapless Charles into perpetuity.

Enchanted Evening, The Songs of Rodgers and Hammerstein
Musical
Synopsis:
More
so than any composer and lyricist who have written for the stage,
the songs of Rodgers & Hammerstein have become an integral
part of our everyday lives. We sing them in the shower, we dance
to them in ballrooms, we hear them on the radio and in clubs and,
yes, in elevators and supermarkets too. We still thrill to them
on the live stage in their respective shows, and we teach them
to our children. This stunning collection of compositions places
five performers in a theatrical setting-first "backstage,"
where the songs are sung as personal interplay, and then "onstage."
While offering the performers an opportunity to explore the songs
within their own styles and sensibilities, it offers the audience
a glorious parade of genuine hits.

Gamine
Chic
Gamine, the roguishly charming Winnipeg/Montreal-based vocal quintet
has been serenading its audiences since the summer of 2007. By
complete coincidence, the group is composed of the 5 « A’s »:
singers Ariane Jean, Andrina Turenne, Alexa Dirks and Annick Brémault
and
drummer
Alexandre Sacha Daoud. Gospel, Soul, R’n’B, 50’s Doo-Wop, Brazilian
forro and French Chanson are infused into the voices and rhythms
of these 5 schemers and effervescent songmakers. Come showtime,
their vintage chic vibe is catching and no one gets left behind!
And the whole is liberally doused with the most total, sibylline
